Costco Entertainment Center, the popular movie theater in New York City, will close its doors at the beginning of the month.
The closing is expected to affect about 2,500 employees.
The announcement came Monday, the day after the second quarter ended.
The company said it will offer the last of its regular movie screenings on Feb. 25.
It will also offer a new movie screening in 2019, according to the news release.
Costco Entertainment will also close a theater at the intersection of Grand Central Parkway and the Brooklyn Bridge.
The new theater will open in 2019.
