New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. said on Twitter he’s “gonna miss” his hometown team, but he did not give a reason for his decision.ESPN’s coverage of the Giants on Thursday night included a “Monday Night Football” episode that featured the league’s top two quarterbacks and an interview with the former New York Jets quarterback.ESPN also showed the highlights from Sunday night’s game, which saw the defending Super Bowl champions beat the defending champion Seattle Seahawks.
The NFL Network also aired highlights of the game, including a “MNF” segment that featured “Monday Morning Quarterback.”
In the segment, “MVP” host Mike & Mike and former Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger were asked if they were happy to win their first Super Bowl in four years.
The hosts responded, “Yeah, man.”
In a separate segment, NFL Network host Phil Simms discussed the Giants’ loss to the Seahawks and how the team has improved in recent weeks.
Simms said that he has watched the Giants game closely this week and that he thinks “they’ll be better this year” than they were last year.
“This team was pretty good last year, especially against the Seahawks,” Simms said.
