Wood Entertainment and Live Music center is the latest development to hit the city of Chicago.
Wood will officially open in the new year on North Chicago Avenue and North Avenue.
The new Wood entertainment center is expected to feature the same type of amenities that exist in the popular Wood entertainment district.
The Wood entertainment area is located between North Avenue and Michigan Avenue, just east of the Loop, and features a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
The area is also home to the Wood Music Festival, which runs throughout the year.
“We have been working for many years to bring entertainment to the city and Chicago,” Wood president John J. Schilling said.
“This new Wood is a step in that direction.
We are excited to be a part of the rebirth of Wood entertainment.”
The Wood Entertainment center will be located in the former Sears building, which closed in 2012.
The new building will have a number of amenities including a new music stage, a bowling alley, a restaurant and bar, and a large outdoor terrace with a deck.
“The Wood is known for its music and its food, and our new Wood will be a great addition to the district,” Chicago Public Schools President Forrest Claypool said.
The city has yet to announce a formal opening date for the new Wood Entertainment location.
