Hong Kong’s ‘Golden Girls’ return to TV after five years in hiatus

Posted November 14, 2019 06:05:31Hong Kong’s “Golden Girls” returned to TV on Thursday, after nearly five years of hiatus following the release of its fourth season.

The television drama, produced by the Hong Kong-based TV production company Yoo-Ping Group, was picked up by Hong Kong Broadcasting System (HKBS) on Thursday for its fourth series.

It was set to air in Hong Kong on November 20, 2019.

In a statement, the show’s production company said the “Golden Girl” reboot was “very exciting.”

The show’s producers also said the cast would be making their return to Hong Kong.HKBS announced in October that the “Gold” franchise would be renewed for a fifth season after airing in the mainland for seven seasons.

In December, the company also announced a new Hong Kong series, “Ginger” to be produced by a local production company, “Chung Kong Media Group.”
