Black Entertainment has announced a new series of podcasts for the black community, which will focus on Black music, comedy and art.
The Black Entertainment Podcasts podcast series will be launched on April 21.
This is the first time the podcasts will be offered on a non-commercial basis.
“We have been thinking about this for some time and are proud to be able to bring it to you,” the creators said.
“This is not a commercial product, but it is meant to be a place for people of all colours to share and explore their favourite black music, culture and art.”
The podcasts will also include interviews with Black artists.
“Black Entertainment Podcast is a unique and richly curated collection of podcasting,” the company said.
This first podcast will cover the life of rapper Tupac Shakur.
“He was an inspiration to us as well as a great example of the power of black creativity,” the team said.
Tupac died in January 2018 aged just 23.
The series will also cover a range of black culture from music to fashion, from music and film to fashion and theatre.
The first podcast is entitled Black Entertainment.
“Tupac was an incredible artist and a true ambassador for black music and the black experience.
It is a privilege to share his story and legacy with you,” it reads.
The creators are calling for people to get involved.
“What Tupac was doing was not just a record.
It was the beginning of a conversation.
It paved the way for generations of black artists to explore and grow in their craft.
The company also said it will be offering a Black Entertainment podcast on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. “
The idea is to create a place to share our music, art and culture in a safe space where the listener can feel safe, comfortable and connected to the artists, producers and creators in the Black entertainment community,” the website says.
The company also said it will be offering a Black Entertainment podcast on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
“There will be no advertising, but we are committed to the platform we are using to promote the podcast,” the blog said.
Black Entertainment is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, Google Play Music and others.
